Movement Test
I think I have a good movement system in place now!
I was able to make a 3rd Person camera controller that feels nice with the help of some tutorials and a Unity plugin called Cinemachine . This made the process a lot quicker than I though... I though I'd be on this step for Weeks! I was even able to add a crouch and a sprint option to the character, giving players a way to both hide from humans and quickly escape if needed, although the sprint won't last long.
Slopes were my main issue with this. They were just being a pain since my character was always able to climb them. I've introduced a limit on the angle the player can climb, making it so the player can climb the 2 slopes on the right and even slows the player on stepper climbs. Unfortunately, I've had to make the player be half forced to the ground on the stepper slopes, it doesn't feel nice, I know, but I want to focus on the game and I can just avoid having steep slopes within the world.
Attached Now is the first build of the game. All it contains is a movement test world that just covers the basics since I won't need anything crazy.
